Daniel's Halloween

Daniel's Halloween
October 30, 2009
Told by Joey

It was a warm night as Daniel started trick or treating. He was with is friend Paul and Daniel's costume was a marine. He had black and green paint on his face, and a green jacket. Daniel and Paul ran to the scariest house on the street. It had skeletons, Frankenstein, Dracula, and blood on the walkway. As they got to the staircase, a zombie popped out of nowhere. Everybody screamed in terror. As he knocked on the door, it slowly creaked open. Then Daniel yelled ''Trick Or Treat!''
After that first trick or treat, he knew it was going to be an awesome night. Daniel and Paul went to so many houses, they each had a full pillowcase filled with candy. That wasn't going to ruin there night, so they got another case. They had Hershey Chocolate, Kisses, Zagnuts, M&M's, Skittle's, Snickers, and Twix. Then they remembered the haunted house.
As they got to the haunted house, Daniel and Paul looked and saw flashing lights, smoke, dead animals, caskets with dead bodies inside, black cats, blood, and spider webs everywhere! Paul gasp. They slowly walked on the stone path. Then they were lost in the smoke. Daniel, cried Paul. Help, I cant see. Finally they found each other, in a bad way. They bumped heads and all there candy fell out. Quickly they picked up the candy and left!
Before they got to Daniel's house, were talking about how scary the haunted house was. Not the haunted house, the haunted path Daniel replied. Then Daniel remembered that he had to meet his family at a Halloween party! They both ran as fast as they could. When they got there, Daniel's mother was disappointed that he was late. So she took some candy as a punishment. There were so many things to do, such as pumpkin carvings, apple bobbing, and the candy booth.
The party was going to end in a couple of minutes, so there family left. On the way home, Daniel and Paul ate a lot of candy. Paul had to go, so Daniels Father dropped him off. Daniel started to feel sick, so he stopped eating candy. As they got home, Daniel and his siblings put all there candy together. It was like candy heaven! But as they got ready for bed Daniel thought of his Halloween night. He loved this one so much because he got the most candy out of all the years. Daniel stopped trick or treating at 9:30 pm.
The next day, after breakfast since it was the day after Halloween, Daniel got to eat one piece of candy. But as they went to the big bucket of candy, it was all gone. Nobody knew what to do. They wanted to know who ate it all. Even the wrappers were gone! Then they heard a screech. They ran around the house, and then Daniel found their dog in the corner scared, and vomiting all over. Then Daniel saw candy wrappers in the vomit. He solved a thirty second mystery.
Daniel chose this Halloween to talk about because of all the candy he got. But from this day, he still hasn't stopped trick or treating! In his childhood, he never had to do any tricks to get candy on Halloween. He just had to say one simple sentence, Trick Or Treat!
